Vandegrift High School opened in 2009 to serve the River Place, Steiner Ranch, and Four Points corridor - one of Austin's fastest-growing luxury areas. In just 16 years, Vandegrift has become one of the highest-performing high schools in Texas, with a 99% graduation rate, 59% AP participation, and 84% AP pass rate. The school's gifted and talented enrollment of 34.5% is the highest of any high school in the Austin metro. The band program has won multiple state championships.
