The Sleeping Beauty

The Sleeping Beauty was the Friday ballet selection. The original description followed Princess Aurora’s story and highlighted the production’s painted sets and costumes.
Austin Texas Book Trail
Original schedule: Saturday, April 4th & Sunday, April 5th | 9:00 AM
Austin Texas Book Trail connected independent bookstores through a weekend crawl. Participating shops planned their own activities and offers, so the itinerary depended on which stores readers chose to visit.
Earth Month Zero Waste Fest
Original schedule: Saturday, April 4th | 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Austin Public Library’s Earth Month Zero Waste Fest focused on reuse through a clothing swap, plant swap, mending, and upcycling. It was a practical, participatory option within the holiday weekend’s program.
Easter activities in the original edition
Family outings
Barton Creek Square’s Easter Bunny photos were listed during mall hours from March 14 through April 19. The ASH Dash 5K Bunny Run was listed for Saturday, April 4, at 8 a.m., with an egg hunt and photos following the run through the Austin State Hospital campus.
Meanwhile Brewing’s egg hunt was listed for Sunday, April 5, at 11 a.m., with crafts and other family activities. Pinballz Arcade’s entry paired an egg hunt with games and crafts on Friday, April 3; its original 11:00–1:00 time range did not specify a.m. or p.m.
Easter brunch ideas
Commodore Perry Estate’s entry described a garden brunch, a Mansion buffet, and an à la carte option at Lutie’s. Fairmont Austin’s selection focused on a brunch spread and rooftop activities for children. These were separate programs, each with its own reservation arrangements.
