Georgetown Fall Festival at Sweet Eats Adventure Farm
*Friday, October 9–Sunday, October 11; Friday and Saturday 9:00 AM–10:00 PM, Sunday 9:00 AM–9:00 PM*
Sweet Eats Adventure Farm, just north of Austin on State Highway 29 in Georgetown, runs its fall festival through November 8. A general admission ticket covers the 4.5-acre themed corn maze and more than 30 farm activities, including daily pig races, a petting zoo, pony rides, wagon rides and apple cannons. October also brings the Emberwild Fire Show and Sky Kings Falconry, and fireworks light up the farm on Friday and Saturday nights. Pick-your-own pumpkins are sold by the pound. Davy Jones’ Locker Haunted Tiki Takeover at Copperhead Club
*Friday, October 9–Sunday, October 11; 2:00 PM–2:00 AM*
For all of October, Copperhead Club becomes a shipwrecked tiki bar, with ghostly decor and fiery tiki cocktails. It stays open late, so it works before or after dinner. See the Copperhead Club announcement.
Dive-In Movies: Spooky Edition at Fairmont Austin
*Friday, October 9; 6:30 PM–10:00 PM*
Fairmont Austin shows Halloween movies at its rooftop pool every Friday in October, with the downtown skyline behind the screen. This week is The Addams Family. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the movie starts at sundown. Popcorn, candy and other movie snacks are available for purchase. Texas vs. Oklahoma Watch Party at Padel 39
*Saturday, October 10; 1:00 PM–6:30 PM*
Padel 39, at 4716 E 5th St in East Austin, hosts a Red River Rivalry watch party, with the game on a 20-foot LED screen and 40 TVs, a pre-party and game-day drink specials. Confirm the start time on the RSVP page, since kickoff times can change. RSVP for the watch party.
Mahjong with Saving South Texas at Vacancy Brewing
*Sunday, October 11; 3:00 PM–6:00 PM*
Vacancy Brewing in South Austin hosts an afternoon of mahjong in support of Saving South Texas, the brewery's charity of the month. Two of the four games are guided games for beginners, and two are for experienced players. Seats are first come, first served, so arrive early. Vacancy has four new beers on tap, and Gumbo, the brewery dog, will be there to say hello. See the event at Vacancy Brewing.
