Race weekend is here: Formula 1 runs at Circuit of The Americas through Sunday, with concerts on Friday and Saturday night. Closer to downtown there is a ghost tour inside a Victorian mansion, a Halloween bouldering competition, an art market on the East Side and a full-moon paddle on Lady Bird Lake. Times below are for October 23–25, 2026. Check with each organizer before you go, since schedules can change.

Formula 1 United States Grand Prix
*Friday, October 23–Sunday, October 25; times vary*
Circuit of The Americas hosts the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, with practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday. The Super Stage adds night concerts, with Maroon 5 on Friday and Post Malone on Saturday. Check the ticket page for gate times and parking before you head out. Buy Grand Prix tickets.
Austin’s Haunted Mansions
*Friday, October 23–Saturday, October 24; 8:00 PM*
Austin Ghost Tours opens the oldest part of Chateau Bellevue, the limestone mansion at 708 San Antonio Street, for a 90-minute ghost investigation and tour. Guides bring their ghost-hunting equipment, tell the mansion’s history and walk the Bremond Block, a block of Victorian-era homes nearby. Tickets are $45 per person, and the tour runs rain or shine. Crux’s 10th Annual Crank’N’Stein
*Saturday, October 24; sessions at 1:30 PM and 6:00 PM*
Crux Climbing Center’s Halloween bouldering competition returns to its Central Austin gym at 6015 Dillard Circle, with beginner, intermediate and advanced divisions. The evening session adds DJs, a vendor village, free tattoos from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, a costume contest and an awards dance party around 9:30 PM. Registration is $35 for Crux members and $50 for everyone else. Register for Crank’N’Stein.
ART IN ATX: Halloween Market
*Sunday, October 25; 11:00 AM–4:00 PM*
The Gallery ATX hosts a Halloween market at Central Machine Works, 4824 East Cesar Chavez Street, with more than 20 local artists, makers and small businesses. Expect a live DJ set, a tattoo pop-up with flash designs and a zine-making table. Entry is free and all ages are welcome. RSVP and reserve an activity slot.
Full Moon Moonlight Paddle
*Sunday, October 25; last launch 6:00 PM*
The Rowing Dock rents kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddleboards for a self-guided evening paddle on Lady Bird Lake as the sun sets and the full moon rises, expected around 6:21 PM. No ticket is needed: rentals are first come, first served, the last boat goes out at 6:00 PM and every boat must be off the water by 7:00 PM. Bring a layer for the evening.
