The Austin Weekender: June 19–21, 2026

June 19, 2026 edition

This is an archive of the original Weekender selections for the dates above. Schedules and property details describe that edition, not current events or availability.

Juneteenth led this edition, with the parade and celebration alongside a Friday concert. The weekend also brought a vintage market, Father’s Day ideas, and a solstice retreat.

The weekend’s events

Central Texas Juneteenth Parade & Celebration

Original schedule: Friday, June 19th | 7:45 AM - 10:00 PM

The Greater East Austin Youth Association’s Juneteenth program connected a morning run and parade with later festivities. Music, food vendors, and family activities were among the elements described in the original issue.

Khalid in Concert

Original schedule: Friday, June 19th | 7:30 PM

Khalid at Moody Amphitheater was the Friday concert selection. The outdoor venue gave this weekend’s music pick a different setting from the markets and daytime gatherings elsewhere in the roundup.

5th Street Vintage Market

Original schedule: Saturday, June 20th | 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

The 5th Street Vintage Market highlighted vintage finds and jewelry, with a DJ and drinks from 5th & Brew. The selection combined browsing local vendors with time downtown.

Celebrate Father’s Day in Austin

Original schedule: Sunday, June 21st | All day

The Father’s Day entry linked to a broader guide rather than a single scheduled event. Outdoor activities, barbecue, golf, and live music were among the categories offered for readers choosing how to spend the day.

Summer Solstice Retreat

Original schedule: Sunday, June 21st | 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM

Present Practice’s Summer Solstice Retreat was the Sunday retreat selection. Its description centered on yoga and community, with a longer daytime schedule than most of the issue’s individual activities.
